Dublin 8 students make Technovation Challenge Semi-Finals

Congratulations to Kristina Pokhrel and Gana Sharaby, both 14 years old, and who are students at the Presentation Warrenmount Secondary School, Dublin 8 on making the semi-finals of the Technovation Challenge with their project, Study Box. Study Box was one of 1700 projects from around the world entered into this year’s Technovation Challenge.

Study Box helps secondary students to learn and find systems of learning. Some students find it difficult to study on their own and have no motivation to study. This app aims to motivate future generations to learn and engage in their education.

The Technovation Challenge is the world’s largest tech and entrepreneurship contest for girls, proudly supported by UNESCO, Peace Corps and UN Women. It offers girls around the world the opportunity to learn the skills needed to emerge as tech entrepreneurs and leaders.

In Ireland Technovation is run by TeenTurn – a volunteer-led, registered charity that works with organisations throughout Ireland to provide STEM career role models and hands-on experience to teen girls from disadvantaged communities.
